Are Guinea Pigs Be The Best Pets?
For most parents, if they wanted to give a pet to their kids, they would instantly think about small animals. Sometimes, they would think about getting a small dog but there are other people who think that a dog is not an ideal pet for a small kid. What they wanted is even smaller and all they could think of is a guinea pig. Well, this kind of animal sounds a cool pet. As a parent, you want something better for your children, right, especially when it comes to pets? So, a pet guinea pig would be a great recommendation.

How can a vet help you out?
So you have a pet. It isnt really possible for you personally to help it if it falls ill? To put the creature down could be totally unnecessary simply because a vet could save its life and add valuable years to its life. As well as this there are many things now available to pets that twenty years ago would have been thought of as being impossible. Newer ways to operate on them have come into use ranging from the simple limb repair to the more skilled pets cardiology which believe it or not can even include fitting a pacemaker into your cat or dog which simply put just goes to show how far technology has come.
An animal surgery could help your pet on any of the 365 days of the year, as many have emergency clinics that you can pop into whenever you need to as well as, some having numbers that you can ring to talk to a specialist whenever you think something may be wrong with your pet, and these numbers will actually have a person who understands veterinary and can help as opposed to someone who has no idea what is wrong with your pet and is simply on the line to assure you that everything is ok.
If something really bad happens to your pet and sadly you have to have it put down they will not just do it and ask you to leave. Many of them will let you stay with your pet for a while afterwards as well as help when choosing to either let the vet take care of the rest or helping you with a suitable cremation.
There are some as well that offer blood transfusion so when something serious like a road traffic accident happens your pet will be able to gain back any lost blood.
So there are many ways that an animal hospital can actually benefit your pet so it is worth considering joining one now so if something bad does happen you have someone there to help.
How to Adopt a New Pet
Whenever most people make the decision to adopt a new pet, they tend to gravitate toward the little ones. These baby dogs and cats known as puppies and kittens put smiles on the faces of everyone. While there are advantages to adopting a young kitten, there are also reasons to consider the full grown cat. How is it possible to decide? Here are some things to consider.
Kittens are adorable. No one can deny this fact. The way the kitten plays and pounces makes it hard for anyone to resist. However, a kitten may not be the best choice for your household.
If you adopt a new pet and choose a kitten, then you will need to be prepared for quite a bit of work. The kitten will need to be litter box trained. Training usually goes smoothly, but it does mean that you may have to deal with cat urine issues. Remember that baby felines will need to learn what they can play with and what is not a toy.
When you adopt this new kitten you will need to baby proof your home, making sure that it does not have easy access to electrical cords and other dangerous objects that felines will gravitate toward.
Why adopt a new kitten
Kittens are filled with boundless energy, and this can be a reason to adopt one, but it could also be a reason to veer away. If you will have the time to spend with kitten, playing and petting, then certainly adopt the little fellow.
However, if you have limited time, then a kitten may not be the best choice. They need play time, and they definitely need human interaction to develop good social cat behavior.
Consider the age of children in your home when adopting a new pet. If very young kids are in your home then a kitten may not be right for your family. Keep in mind that kittens can be hurt by small children that might play to rough.
A grown cat can offer a bypass on much of the stress that comes along with raising and training a kitten. Most adult cats are litter trained already so this will be one less thing to do when you move them into your home.
While grown cats may not be quite as cute as a kitten, they still posses plenty of playfulness and affection. At the same time, a cat is not as dependent upon attention from their owner. Cats enjoy their private time too.
Adult cat adoption
One very large problem that can arise when adopting a grown cat is that you will not know its background. Animals that have been neglected or abused may have behavioral issues that can pose difficult hurdles in your relationship. Usually, these problems can be overcome with some attention, patience, and reading some cat facts .
When you adopt a new pet cat or a kitten, consider the animal’s personality and the amount of attention and training you will need to devote to your new pet. There are definite advantages to either choice, but the ultimate decision will hinge on which will work best in your home environment. Remember to be strong and ignore the kitten cute factor when deciding.

What happens when something happens to your pet?
When a pet breaks a leg it is just as unintentional as when a human does. There are things like this that can be done falling down the stairs to a simple fall in the garden. But what can you do when this actually happens when you are not with a private animal hospital? There isnt really much you can do without being a member of a vet centre.
One of the plus sides to actually being a member of one of these animal surgery places is that if something worse happens like your animal happens to have its leg needed to be removed they actually have blood transfusions available for pets now so they will not lose any blood if they are hit by a car or something like that and have to have a limb removed.
Of course there are other types of animals that have been known to have their limbs removed and carry on as normal other than the more common cat and dog cases. Wheelie the tortoise is perhapsa good example of this as she has to have three of her limbs removed and was then fitted with a set of wheels. Before she did not want to mate at all due to the pain but since the operation she has become happier and has started mating.
A cast is a lot better than putting the animal down surely which is why going to a vet when your animal starts to limp could be just a bit of old age arthritis or something more sinister like bone cancer. Bone cancer is a very painful thing for a dog or other animal to have and if you suspect something it is far better to have it amputated than to make the animal go through a lot of pain.
So if it’s a broken leg or even a heart problem a vet will either treat it with a cast or using pet’s cardiology and make your pet feel that much better!
