Cat, Dog or Spider? Which pet would you prefer

So you want to buy a pet, but still unsure what to get -here some help on that.

  • Cats. Cats dont need to be taken out for walks, are well groomed and quiet animals (except when they want feeding). Their nocturnal animals so they only really come to life at night, going out to bring you back live mice as a present bless ‘em. Cats will cost alittle less than a dog because cats dont require the training that a dog has, but thats only alittle less.
  • Dogs. Do they deserve the title ‘mans best friend’? A dog requires being taken for a walk every day, if not every other day, which can be great exercise for both dog and owner. Dogs are going to need some training, but are very loyal animals to their owners (or their pet!!).
  • Rodents. Hamsters, Rats, Gerbils and Mice. These guys usually live for about a year and a half, though some have gone on for longer. the right sized cage is important -rats are the bigger rodent and mice may escape through bigger holes in the bars. They’ll need a wheel for exercise, but replace it when it starts squeaking so you get some sleep at night.
  • Guinea pigs and Rabbits. Be prepared to chase them around the garden to get them back in their hutch, they can move quicker than you think. Either animal will require a hutch to stay in, plus a run for them to enjoy in the summer, but not escaping from the garden. Give them fresh lettuce/ carrots to go with their feed, and you must move their hutches into somewhere warm when winter sets in.
  • Snakes. A snake can be very costly given the accommodation they need, they equipment to control the temperature and mice for them to eat. The cost of the snake is going to depend on the size of the snake.
  • Spiders. You’ll need bugs for them to eat, a small container and a wife who wont freak out if they escape.
